“Creativity is intelligence having fun."
I've been in graphic communication, graphic design, and web design since 1989. I partner with my clients in a collaborative environment where I use a spectrum of skills to help them achieve their creative goals; working closely to discover who you are and what you're saying, building from the inside out and making certain your brand equity maintains integrity from start-to-finish.
I’m proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, have experience across all mediums, and love working with passionate people.
Thanks for stopping by.
“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication."
The logo. If there's anything more important than the logo, it would have to be the brand. And if there's anything as synonymous with the brand as the logo, I'm sure I don't know what it is. It can do the job by simply getting by — or it can really lean into the heavy lifting of brand equity by taking into account more elements and factors than most people would think important.
A good logo is critical to establishing your identity and building your brand. I can work with you to create a unique presence with branding strength and show you how to put your graphic standards to work.
"Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics.
Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated."
There are web sites and then there are online businesses. Big difference, and getting an electronic brochure up isn't difficult and can happen pretty quickly. An online business involving e-commerce, content management systems, blogs, or world domination and mind control (ha ha just kidding) can take a bit more time. And though having a web site is the beginning, it's just that: the beginning. Getting found and ranked authentically in the major search engines can't be underestimated. That's SEO (search engine optimization), and it's to web site design what good nutrition is to being physically fit (read: it's pretty much everything). I can make your web site look good graphic-wise, make sure it's adaptive across all your devices, and be involved in the nitty-gritty details, from back-end coding all the way to giving it a brain to take over the planet. Up to you.

Layout & Design
Print, tablets, smart phones, stationery, business cards, calendars, brochures, annual reports, books, ebooks, interactive digital books, posters, fliers, blah, blah, blah. You name it, I've worked on it.
Desktop publishing remains square one for all things digital. And though we've seen a migration to a paperless experience, it all still begins with pixel-perfect control over design and typography.
"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
Todd Clary doesn’t go around telling everyone that when he hears the number 5 he sees the color orange. With all the creative work he’s involved with who’s got time for a trip to the loony bin, right?
He's what they call a Synesthete, which is just a ten-dollar word for A Very Weird Brain and explains how, according to the party inside his head, numbers are all colored, sound has structure in three-dimensional space, textures have a taste, and nothing happens linearly. He's an amazing cartoonist, a linguistic genius, and never loses at the Two Truths And A Lie game. Ever. (If you want to take a swing at that one you’ll have to ask him yourself. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.)
He's often hired to problem-solve branding and corporate identity snafu’s and leans into the challenge with master-level proficiency in the creative programs which happen to belie his command of left-brained processes. He's had the privilege of working with some of the best talent around during a twenty-eight year span of an entirely self-taught career.
And though he never gets from Here to There along the conventional path, he always gets There. Always. So, if you want someone who has learned to marry intuition with definitive creative skills, give him a call.
And don’t say we didn’t warn you.
